PM Shehbaz Sharif Invites New Zealand PM for Official Visit to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from his New Zealand counterpart Christopher Luxon on Tuesday, during which the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional stability.

The conversation took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, with both leaders also discussing the changing situation in the Middle East. PM Shehbaz Sharif briefed Luxon on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts and engagements aimed at promoting peace and reducing tensions in the region.

The New Zealand Prime Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic efforts, particularly its engagements with Washington and Tehran, and expressed good wishes for the success of these mediation efforts.

PM Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to promoting peace, dialogue, and stability in the region and the world. Both leaders agreed to work together to further strengthen bilateral ties and expressed satisfaction over the friendly and cordial relations between the two countries. The positive role of the Pakistani community in New Zealand was also appreciated.

At the conclusion of the conversation, PM Shehbaz Sharif extended an invitation to Christopher Luxon for an official visit to Pakistan. Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact in the coming days.
