PM Shehbaz Embarks on Two-Day Official Visit to Bahrain

Date:

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departs today (Wednesday) for Bahrain on a two-day official visit, accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, federal ministers, and senior officials.
According to the Foreign Office, the Prime Minister will hold meetings with Bahrain’s leadership to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, energy, technology, education, and culture. The visit aims to reinforce the traditionally warm ties between the two nations, explore new avenues of partnership, and deepen people-to-people connections for mutually beneficial collaboration.
The Foreign Office emphasized that the trip reflects Pakistan’s ongoing engagement with the Kingdom of Bahrain, focused on building a strategic and results-oriented partnership.
This visit follows recent progress in bilateral security cooperation. In July, Pakistan and Bahrain agreed to expand collaboration in counter-terrorism, anti-human trafficking, and narcotics control during high-level talks in Manama. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Bahrain’s Interior Minister, General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, reviewed joint efforts in these areas and pledged to strengthen coordination further.
Both sides also discussed enhancing the role of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Security Committee to address regional and global security challenges more effectively.
