KAKUL, PAKISTAN: The passing-out parade of cadets from four courses at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul is taking place on Saturday, October 17, with Commander National Strategic Command General Syed Aamer Raza attending as the chief guest.
The ceremony features cadets from the 154th PMA Long Course, 39th Technical Graduate Course, 73rd Integrated Course and 28th Lady Cadet Course, marking a significant milestone in their military training and professional careers.
General Aamer Raza Addresses Graduating Cadets
Addressing the ceremony, General Aamer Raza congratulated the graduating cadets and their parents on completing their foundational military training.
He stressed the importance of safeguarding Pakistan’s territorial integrity, warning that the country would not tolerate cross-border aggression or violations of its sovereign borders.
The commander also highlighted how emerging technologies are transforming modern warfare, saying the armed forces are adapting through a broader, multidomain approach to strengthen their military capabilities.
General Aamer Raza further discussed Pakistan’s strategic position amid regional tensions and emphasised the importance of peace, restraint and diplomatic engagement.
He said Pakistan remained committed to regional stability but would respond firmly to threats against its sovereignty.
Four Courses Feature in the Ceremony
The passing-out parade brings together graduating cadets from four distinct training programmes at the academy.
These include the 154th PMA Long Course, the 39th Technical Graduate Course, the 73rd Integrated Course and the 28th Lady Cadet Course.
The ceremony marks the completion of their training at one of Pakistan’s principal military education institutions and their transition towards professional service.
Previous Passing-Out Parade Held in April
The latest ceremony follows an earlier passing-out parade held at PMA Kakul in April 2026.
At that event, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff, served as the chief guest. Cadets from several courses graduated, including the 153rd PMA Long Course and the 27th Lady Cadet Course.
According to reports of the April ceremony, graduates from friendly countries, including Iraq, Maldives, Mali, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar and Sri Lanka, also completed their training at the academy.
Military Training and National Security
The passing-out parade represents an important stage in the development of future military officers, highlighting discipline, leadership and professional preparation.
In his address, General Aamer Raza urged the graduating cadets to recognise the responsibilities associated with military service and the protection of Pakistan’s national security.
Further details about the ceremony, including any additional announcements and award recipients, should be incorporated as they are confirmed by official sources.
