Pakistan to Host Third International Seerat Festival From October 12

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — WEB DESK: Pakistan’s third International Seerat Festival is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 12, bringing together religious, academic and literary activities aimed at promoting understanding of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The three-day event, organised by the National Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Wa Khatamun Nabiyyin Authority, will continue until Wednesday, October 14.

Organisers have planned an international conference, book fair, calligraphy exhibition, speech competition, poetry gatherings and a youth convention.

Ishaq Dar to Attend Opening Ceremony

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is scheduled to attend the festival’s opening ceremony as chief guest on October 12.

The inaugural programme will mark the beginning of three days of religious scholarship, educational discussions and cultural activities.

The festival is intended to highlight the relevance of the Prophet’s teachings to contemporary society, particularly for younger generations.

International Conference Scheduled for October 13

An international conference will be held on Tuesday, October 13, as part of the festival’s second-day programme.

Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal is expected to attend the conference.

The day’s activities will also include a book-launch ceremony, with Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar scheduled to participate as chief guest.

The programme will provide opportunities for scholarly discussion and engagement with publications concerning Islamic history, religious learning and the Seerah.

Book Fair, Calligraphy and Literary Events

The festival will feature a book fair and Islamic calligraphy exhibition alongside other educational and literary activities.

A speech competition will provide a platform for participants to discuss themes connected to the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

A Mehfil-e-Naat, featuring devotional poetry, and a mushaira, or poetry gathering, are also included in the programme.

These activities are designed to combine academic learning with Pakistan’s traditions of religious literature and artistic expression.

Seerat Youth Convention to Conclude Festival

The final day, Wednesday, October 14, will feature a Seerat Youth Convention.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, is scheduled to attend as chief guest.

The youth-focused event is intended to introduce younger audiences to the ethical and social teachings associated with the Prophet’s life.

Organisers have identified youth engagement as one of the festival’s central objectives.

Festival Aims to Promote Religious Education

The National Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Wa Khatamun Nabiyyin Authority is organising the event to promote understanding of the Seerah and encourage educational engagement with Islamic teachings.

The programme brings together conferences, literature, calligraphy and youth activities over three days.
