Leeds, England – Web Desk: Pakistan Women continued their disappointing campaign in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, suffering a fourth consecutive defeat after Australia Women secured a dominant 113-run victory in Leeds.
Batting first, Australia posted an imposing total of 199 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. Star batter Ellyse Perry led the charge with a brilliant 71 runs, while Georgia Voll contributed 39 runs to strengthen Australia’s position.
For Pakistan, Nashra Sandhu, Rameen Shamim and Sadia Iqbal claimed two wickets each but struggled to contain Australia’s aggressive batting lineup.
In response, Pakistan Women failed to build meaningful partnerships and were bowled out for just 86 runs. Muneeba Ali was the top scorer with 32 runs, while captain Fatima Sana added 17 runs.
The defeat marks Pakistan’s fourth consecutive loss in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, leaving the team still searching for its first victory of the tournament.
Pakistan will now face the Netherlands in their final group-stage match as they aim to end their campaign on a positive note.
