ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: Pakistan and the United States have made significant progress in negotiations on a bilateral trade framework, with both sides agreeing to expedite technical talks and finalize the framework soon, according to officials.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held discussions with the US Trade Representative, emphasizing the importance of partnership for export-led economic growth and promoting trade and investment with the United States.
US officials appreciated Pakistan’s progress on labor and regulatory reforms. Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation, agreeing to maintain engagement to complete the trade agreement soon.
