Islamabad – Web Desk: The Government of Pakistan has suspended all allowances and other payments for government employees as part of cost-control measures.
According to sources, under special instructions, the Accountant General of Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) has halted all payments except for salaries, which continue to be disbursed.
Sources further confirmed that this stringent move aligns with ongoing IMF negotiations, with the government aiming to meet the set financial benchmarks.
Officials emphasized that the suspension of allowances and perks will remain in effect until further notice.
