Karachi: The bullish momentum at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued for the second consecutive day, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index once again surging to record-breaking levels.
On Tuesday, the market opened with a remarkable gain of 624 points, lifting the index to 174,521 points — its highest level in history. The upward trajectory did not stop there, as sustained buying activity pushed the index further up by 841 points, closing at another peak of 174,737 points.
This rally follows Monday’s extraordinary performance, when the index soared by 1,495 points to settle at 173,896 points, marking one of the strongest single-day gains in recent months. Investors demonstrated robust confidence, engaging in aggressive buying across multiple sectors.
Market analysts attribute the surge to a combination of factors, including improved investor sentiment, expectations of economic stability, and positive signals from both domestic and international markets. They note that the continuation of this bullish trend could pave the way for further milestones in the days ahead.
The PSX has now recorded back-to-back sessions of historic highs, reinforcing optimism among traders and investors. Last week also ended on a strong note, with the exchange closing at new records, setting the stage for this week’s remarkable rally.
Economists suggest that if the momentum persists, the stock market may continue to break barriers, reflecting renewed confidence in Pakistan’s financial outlook.
