Pakistan Security Forces Shoot Down Two Drones Over Islamabad

Date:

Islamabad, Pakistan — Web Desk: Pakistan’s security forces shot down two drones over the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the Ministry of Information said. The drones were reportedly neutralized using advanced counter-drone technology. Officials stated that no military or key installations were damaged, though minor damage occurred due to falling debris.

The ministry rejected claims circulating on social media attributed to the Taliban administration, calling them baseless and part of misinformation campaigns. Authorities added that recent online propaganda also falsely claimed the downing of a Pakistan Air Force aircraft and the arrest of a pilot.

Officials further alleged that militant groups, including Indian-backed networks and extremist factions, were behind disinformation efforts targeting Pakistan’s security institutions.
