Pakistan Navy test-fires indigenous missile capable of hitting sea and land targets

KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy on Tuesday successfully carried out a flight test of an indigenously developed ship-launched Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile (ASBM), capable of striking both sea and land targets with high precision.
The test demonstrated the missile’s operational readiness and advanced technological capabilities.
The flight trial was closely observed by the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), along with senior scientists and engineers involved in the project. The successful test highlights Pakistan’s growing defence technology and the Navy’s commitment to safeguarding national interests.
The missile’s design allows it to engage multiple target types, combining speed and accuracy to strengthen maritime and coastal defence. The development reflects ongoing efforts to enhance indigenous defence systems and reduce reliance on foreign technology.
The achievement drew congratulations from the President, Prime Minister, Chief of Joint Staff Committee (CJCSC), and all armed services chiefs. Units and scientists involved in the project were specifically commended for their dedication and technical expertise in realising this milestone.
