Pakistan National Assembly Releases 64-Point Agenda Featuring 19 Proposed Laws
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — October 20, 2026: Pakistan’s National Assembly has released a 64-point agenda for its ongoing session, with 19 proposed laws reportedly included among the legislative business scheduled for consideration.
The agenda comes as Parliament continues proceedings on government legislation and other matters requiring consideration by the lower house. The National Assembly’s official website lists the 30th session from October 13 to October 27, 2026, with proceedings scheduled to resume on Tuesday, October 20.
Legislative Business Takes Centre Stage
The National Assembly’s recent proceedings have included the consideration and passage of bills dealing with government administration and regulatory matters.
On Monday, October 19, the lower house passed the Abandoned Properties (Management) (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Archival Material (Preservation and Export Control) (Amendment) Bill, 2026. Business Recorder also reported the passage of the Centres of Excellence (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The House introduced the Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Emigration (Amendment) Bill, 2026, referring both to the relevant standing committees for further consideration.
These developments highlight the range of legislative matters being handled during the current parliamentary session.
Proposed Laws Still Require Parliamentary Action
The inclusion of proposed legislation on a parliamentary agenda does not mean that the bills have already become law. Each bill must proceed through the applicable legislative stages, which may include debate, committee consideration and voting.
The official National Assembly record separately tracks bills that have been introduced, passed by the House and enacted into law.
Session Continues in Islamabad
The National Assembly’s 30th session is scheduled to continue through October 27, subject to any changes announced by the House.
Further proceedings are expected to determine which remaining items on the agenda receive consideration and which legislative proposals advance through the parliamentary process.
