The meetings, held separately, covered Pakistan-UK bilateral relations, the Kashmiri community, and the current situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Discussions also focused on the upcoming AJK elections, scheduled for July 27 .
Call for Dialogue
Lord Qurban Hussain said the meetings were introductory and covered the overall situation in UK, Pakistan, and AJK. All parties agreed that issues must be resolved peacefully .
He expressed optimism that AJK will return to normalcy and that the people will elect their preferred government through the upcoming elections. He stressed that disputes, including this one, can only be resolved through negotiations .
MP Yasmin Qureshi also called on all parties to sit together and find a solution to the AJK situation, emphasizing that a peaceful resolution is in everyone’s best interest .
