ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson has categorically denied that the United States requested the use of Pakistani airspace for an attack on Iran.
During his weekly briefing to journalists, the spokesperson clarified that he was unaware of any US demand for Pakistani airspace for an attack on Iran, stating that no such request was made to Pakistan.
Regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, the spokesperson said Pakistan will not compromise on a single drop of its water, and all legal procedures will be employed in this regard. The award of the International Court of Arbitration clarifies the limits of Indian control over the western rivers. He said there is no clause for unilaterally exiting the Indus Waters Treaty.
The spokesperson announced that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit China from May 23 to 26, where he will hold meetings with top Chinese leadership. He also rejected allegations of mass deportation of Pakistanis from the United Arab Emirates as baseless, stating that such figures are exaggerated. The deportation of 3,000 Pakistanis must be understood in its proper context, and there is no discrepancy between government and parliamentary data.
