ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a key meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong at the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, where both sides discussed regional developments and bilateral security cooperation.

The meeting focused on counterterrorism efforts, enhanced security coordination, and the expansion of police exchange programs between Pakistan and China. The overall regional situation, particularly amid rising geopolitical tensions, was also reviewed.

Both sides agreed to organize a business conference aimed at addressing security concerns faced by Chinese investors operating in Pakistan. According to officials, the initiative will be conducted in phases, beginning with engagements with the Chinese business community currently in Pakistan, followed by outreach to prospective investors.

Naqvi announced the establishment of a Special Protection Unit (SPU) to enhance security for foreign nationals, particularly Chinese citizens in Islamabad. He said SPU personnel would receive specialized training, including instruction in the Chinese language, to improve coordination and response capabilities.

The meeting underscores ongoing efforts by Islamabad to strengthen investor confidence and ensure the safety of foreign nationals amid evolving regional dynamics.
