Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Pakistan Army has intensified military operations along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, conducting targeted air and ground strikes against Afghan Taliban positions and extremist elements described by officials as Fitna al-Khawarij.
Security sources reported that forces struck a Taliban post in the Shawal area near South Waziristan, compelling militants to abandon the site before it was destroyed with explosives. Continuous operations are targeting Taliban hideouts and military infrastructure to curb cross-border attacks and infiltration attempts.
In a separate successful strike in Afghanistan’s Paktika province, Pakistani forces destroyed an ammunition depot at Shahin Base, significantly disrupting militant supply lines and operational capabilities.
Officials confirmed that Operation Ghazab lil-Haq remains active, with systematic neutralization of identified targets. The operation, aimed at eliminating threats to national security, will continue until all objectives are fully achieved.
The strikes come amid heightened border tensions, frequent militant activity, and broader regional instability linked to the ongoing Middle East conflict. Pakistan has repeatedly urged Afghanistan to prevent its territory from being used for attacks against Pakistan, while emphasizing its right to self-defense.
No immediate casualty figures or responses from Afghan Taliban authorities were available.
