(Web Desk) – Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief of Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Babar held a series of high-level meetings with Saudi military leadership in Saudi Arabia, underscoring the growing strategic partnership and deep-rooted defence ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Upon arrival, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar was warmly received by Saudi Chief of Staff Fayyad Al-Ruwaili, reflecting the longstanding and close military relationship between the two brotherly nations. The meeting focused on Pak-Saudi military cooperation, regional security dynamics, and matters of mutual professional interest.
Focus on Strengthening Pak-Saudi Defence Cooperation
Discussions centered on enhancing existing defence collaboration, expanding institutional linkages between the armed forces, and exploring future frameworks for military cooperation. Both sides reviewed shared strategic challenges and reaffirmed their commitment to close coordination amid the evolving regional security environment.
The leaders emphasized sustained engagement to further strengthen defence diplomacy, operational coordination, and strategic alignment between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Engagement with Saudi Air Force Leadership
Air Chief Marshal Babar also met Saudi Air Force Commander Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz. Senior officers from the Pakistan Air Force and the Royal Saudi Air Force were present during the engagement.
Both sides agreed to further enhance bilateral air force cooperation, with a strong focus on professional collaboration, capacity building, training exchanges, and sharing operational experience to improve interoperability.
The high-level engagements highlight the depth of Pak-Saudi defence ties and the shared resolve to expand cooperation across multiple domains. The visit reflects continued efforts by both countries to strengthen military-to-military relations and reinforce strategic defence partnership in the region.
