Khawaja Asif vows full state response against terrorists, highlights Balochistan security challenges
Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has firmly stated that no negotiations will be held with terrorists, and all acts of terror will be met with the full force of the state and Pakistan Armed Forces.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Khawaja Asif emphasized that terrorists hold no sway in Balochistan, and the narrative of deprivation there is misleading. Highlighting security concerns, the Defence Minister noted that terrorists possess US-supplied weapons, and some attacks are supported by foreign proxies, including Indian-backed elements. He linked recent assaults to oil smuggling networks, which generate billions in illicit profits, destabilizing the region.
Khawaja Asif also highlighted the development progress in Balochistan, citing over 15,000 schools, 13 cadet colleges, 13 major hospitals, 26,000 km of roads, and efforts to operationalize airports.
