No Division Allowed Between Forces and People: Corps Commanders’ Conference

Rawalpindi:The Pakistan Army has categorically rejected any nexus between terrorism, crime, and political interests, vowing decisive and uncompromising action against all India-backed terrorists, their facilitators, and supporters. The military leadership emphasized that no one will be allowed to create division between the armed forces and the people of Pakistan.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference was held under the chairmanship of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir. The forum offered prayers for the martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians who lost their lives in recent terrorist incidents.

The statement noted that the participants paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives defending the motherland against terrorism promoted under foreign directives. The Chief of Defence Forces lauded the unwavering courage, professional excellence, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces.

The Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces praised the military’s determined efforts in recent intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across the country. They remarked: “Through joint efforts of the government and the armed forces, and with the steadfast support of the Pakistani people, our nation is gradually but surely moving towards stability, greater opportunities, and dignity.”

The forum conducted a comprehensive review of internal and external security challenges, stressing operational preparedness. Participants reaffirmed that all India-sponsored terrorists, their facilitators, and associates will be dealt with decisively and without leniency.

Rejecting any link between terrorism, crime, and political interests, the conference declared: “No one will be allowed to harm national unity, security, and stability, whether political elements or otherwise.” It further emphasized: “No one will be permitted to create division between the armed forces and the people of Pakistan.”

The Corps Commanders’ Conference appreciated the special developmental initiatives of the Balochistan government, aimed at empowering local communities and addressing terrorism-related factors through governance and social engagement. ISPR added that participants stressed the need for similar public-oriented measures in other regions under the National Action Plan to ensure sustainable peace and stability.

The conference reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and their legitimate struggle, while also endorsing Pakistan’s principled stance on the Palestine issue. ISPR stated that the forum demanded “an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, unrestricted humanitarian access, and a credible pathway towards the establishment of a Palestinian state.”

Concluding the session, the Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces directed commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, physical fitness, innovation, and battlefield professionalism. They expressed full confidence in the armed forces’ ability to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, effectively countering threats ranging from conventional and sub-conventional to hybrid and asymmetric challenges.
