The video, posted on the social media platform X, shows Netanyahu speaking in Hebrew and describing the reports of his death as false. The footage appears to show the Israeli leader sitting inside a coffee shop in the Jerusalem Hills area, according to Israeli media.
In the clip, Netanyahu is seen ordering and drinking coffee while addressing the circulating claims online. “They say I am dead,” he remarked humorously, adding that he was “dying for a cup of coffee.”
The Israeli leader also addressed another rumor circulating on social media about the number of fingers on his hand. Showing both hands to the camera, Netanyahu joked about the claim and clarified that he has ten fingers.
During the video message, Netanyahu expressed appreciation for the resilience of Israeli citizens amid ongoing hostilities. He urged residents to go outside briefly for fresh air but advised them to remain close to bomb shelters due to the continued threat of missile attacks.
Israel has been facing missile strikes from Iran and rocket attacks from Lebanon, heightening security concerns across the country.
Earlier, several social media accounts had claimed that Netanyahu had been killed during an Iranian attack after he did not appear publicly during recent developments. The Israeli prime minister’s office quickly denied the reports, although Netanyahu had not appeared publicly until the video surfaced.
Amid the rumors, Iranian sources had reportedly warned that if Netanyahu were still alive, he could be targeted in future strikes.
