Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification announcing a reduction in electricity prices by Rs 1.99 per unit, providing relief to consumers across Pakistan.
According to the notification, the price cut will also apply to K-Electric consumers.
The reduction has been made under the quarterly adjustment for January to March 2026, while the relief will be passed on to consumers for a three-month period from June to August 2026.
Officials confirmed that the move will provide a total financial relief of Rs 67.17 billion to electricity consumers nationwide.
NEPRA stated that the adjustment is part of the regular quarterly mechanism, aimed at reflecting changes in generation costs. The reduction is expected to ease electricity bills for millions of households and businesses across the country.
