DG Officers’ Assets Under Scrutiny Amid Massive Development Authority Probe

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned property details of 48 individuals, including current and former DGs of Development Authorities, in connection with a Rs 2 billion transfer scandal.

The probe covers DGs from Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, Gwadar, and Rawalpindi Development Authorities. Details of current DG Konza Murtaza’s assets, as well as former DGs Aamira Khan, Chaudhry Maqbool Dhawala, and the late Abdul Sattar Eisani, have been requested. Other officials under scrutiny include Nadeem Ahmed Abro, Gulzar Hussain Shah, Captain Tahir Zafar Abbasi, Saif Anwar Jappa, and multiple finance directors.

The NAB invoked Subsection 19 of the National Accountability Ordinance 1999 to demand these property details, highlighting a comprehensive investigation into irregular transfers and undeclared assets. The inquiry seeks to ensure transparency and accountability in public sector development authorities.
