Multiple Fire Incidents Reported Across Karachi

KARACHI – (Web Desk): Several fire incidents were reported across different areas of Karachi on Thursday, including a gas pipeline explosion in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area, officials confirmed.

According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122, an underground Sui gas pipeline ruptured near Sehar Commercial in DHA Phase 7. Emergency teams were dispatched immediately from the Central Command and Control center, including fire and rescue units, an ambulance, and fire brigade trucks.

Upon arrival, responders cordoned off the area and informed the relevant utility authorities. No casualties were reported in the incident.

In a separate development, a fire broke out in a section of a garments factory near Chamra Chowrangi in the Korangi Industrial Area. Three fire brigade vehicles were deployed to the scene, and the blaze was brought under control after firefighting efforts.

Authorities said a cooling process was underway and an assessment would be conducted to determine the cause of the fire.

Meanwhile, another fire erupted in a residential house near Malir Tanki. A single fire brigade vehicle responded promptly and extinguished the blaze.

Rescue 1122 officials confirmed that no loss of life was reported in any of the incidents. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the causes of the fires.
