MQM Spokesperson Says Not Consulted on Sindh Governor Change

Date:

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: MQM Pakistan has reacted strongly to the reported change in the Governor of Sindh, stating the decision was announced through media outlets without prior consultation. MQM spokesperson Faisal Sabzwari emphasized that as a key coalition partner, the party should have been informed before any such decision.

Sabzwari urged the federal government to maintain consultation with allied parties to avoid unnecessary tension. He added that MQM Pakistan will soon outline its course of action regarding the development.

Meanwhile, former MQM leader Farooq Sattar criticized the unilateral decision, stating that the governorship has historically been MQM’s right and that such actions could compel the party to reconsider its participation in the federal government.
