Baghdad, Iraq – Web Desk : Reports have emerged of missile attacks targeting the US Embassy in Baghdad as well as American military bases in Iraq.
According to international media citing Al‑Hadath TV, a missile struck inside the compound of the Embassy of the United States, Baghdad, triggering an explosion and smoke rising from the heavily fortified diplomatic area.
Initial reports indicate that the missile landed within the embassy grounds. However, no casualties have been confirmed so far, and the full extent of the damage remains unclear.
Sources suggest that the objective of the attack may have been to disable the air defense system installed within the embassy compound.
Meanwhile, resistance groups in Baghdad reportedly carried out eight separate attacks on US military bases within 24 hours. Armed factions allegedly used drones and missiles to target American installations, although detailed information about the strikes has not been released.
The incidents come amid rising regional tensions in the Middle East, increasing concerns about the security of US diplomatic and military facilities across the region.
