Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced a new initiative this Ramadan, “Mariam’s Dastarkhwan,” aimed at providing iftar meals to citizens across the province. According to Punjab Information Minister Azmi Bukhari, the program has created a new trend, with people in every tehsil becoming “guests of Mariam.”
The initiative is reportedly serving both men and women, receiving widespread appreciation from the public. Bukhari highlighted that 74 “Sehoolat Bazaars” in Punjab are providing affordable, high-quality food items, with the Pakistan Food Authority monitoring food standards. Citizens, especially women, can also order essential items directly from home through these bazaars.
The Information Minister further stated that the Punjab government is delivering citizens’ rights directly to their doorsteps, including the Ramadan Nighban Package, which ensures aid cards reach all eligible recipients. District administrations and relevant authorities are working around the clock to implement these initiatives effectively.
