London Court rejects Adil Raja’s claims against Brig Rashid, imposes heavy penalties

Date:

LONDON (Web Desk) – London High Court has ruled decisively in favour of Brigadier Rashid Naseer, declaring that all allegations levelled against him by UK-based YouTuber and commentator Adil Raja were entirely false, baseless, and defamatory.

In a detailed judgment, the court ordered Adil Raja to pay £50,000 in damages to Brigadier Rashid, along with substantial legal costs. Raja has been directed to immediately pay £260,000 as interim legal expenses.
The court further instructed Adil Raja to publish a prominent summary of the judgment across all his social media platforms for 28 consecutive days, ensuring full visibility to the audience that had previously viewed the allegations.

According to the ruling, the accusations made by Raja in June 2022, including claims related to Punjab elections, alleged secret meetings, and narratives linked to “regime change”, were described as fabricated, unsupported by evidence, and motivated by malice. The court emphasized that the allegations were aimed at character assassination and bore no connection to reality.

The High Court also prohibited Raja from repeating the defamatory claims in any form, warning that failure to comply would result in contempt of court proceedings, additional fines, or even imprisonment. Several sensitive allegations raised by Raja were deemed entirely inadmissible and were ordered to be permanently removed from circulation.

Furthermore, the court mandated that all financial payments must be completed by 22 December 2025, and instructed that a direct link to the official judgment must be displayed clearly on all of Raja’s digital platforms.

The judgment concluded that Adeel Raja’s statements inflicted reputational harm and attempted to cause irreparable damage — claims the court found wholly false. The ruling marks a significant legal victory for Brigadier Rashid and reinforces strict accountability for defamatory content spread online.
