Chiniot, Pakistan – Web Desk: A significant development has emerged in the harassment and threats case involving Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar and actress Momina Iqbal, as police have registered a case over alleged mobile phone threats.
According to police officials, Bhawana Police Station registered an FIR on May 17 after allegations surfaced that threatening calls, including death threats, were made to Saqib Chadhar via a mobile number.
The legal representative of Saqib Chadhar stated that an FIR has been filed against the man believed to be the “expected husband” of Momina Iqbal, and authorities are actively trying to trace him.
Investigators further revealed that the mobile number involved is registered under a woman named Halima, a resident of Pakpattan, adding another layer to the ongoing probe.
The situation comes at a sensitive time as reports regarding Momina Iqbal’s upcoming marriage have also surfaced. Her sister, Ramsha Iqbal, confirmed that the family prefers to keep the matter private, stating that security has been provided to both sides due to reported threats.
She also confirmed that Momina Iqbal is set to marry Muhammad Hamza Habibi, with the Nikah scheduled for June 1, emphasizing that the marriage is arranged with family consent.
