Canal Ship Restaurant Promises Dining, Picnics, and Cultural Entertainment
Construction has officially started on Lahore’s first floating restaurant at Jallo Mor, a unique project designed to offer dining on water, recreational activities, and family-friendly entertainment. The initiative aims to transform the canal area into a modern urban leisure destination.
The canal is being expanded to a depth of 13 feet and width of 30 feet to safely accommodate the floating restaurant and related facilities. Covering up to one kilometre, the project will feature green picnic zones, modern lighting, cultural performances, live music, and evening entertainment for residents and visitors.
Approved by the Punjab cabinet and costing Rs549.4 million, the Jallo Canal ship restaurant project is set to be completed within the year. Punjab Housing Minister Bilal Yasin stated that the facility will provide a perfect blend of natural beauty, leisure, and culinary experiences in Lahore.
