Peshawar, Pakistan – Web Desk: Intermittent rainfall and snowfall have returned to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), bringing a wave of chilly weather across northern districts.
In Peshawar and surrounding areas, light rain continued through the morning, increasing cool conditions. Mountainous regions in Upper and Lower Chitral received fresh snow, covering higher elevations, while snow was also reported in Dera Bala, Kalam, Swat, Shangla, and other districts.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, most districts will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with colder conditions expected in higher-altitude areas.
Forecasters also warned of thunderstorms with rain and snowfall in northern districts, including Chitral, Upper and Lower Dera, Malakand, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Upper and Lower Kohistan, Kolai-Palas, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Batagram, and Torghar.
Residents are advised to stay cautious while traveling in mountainous regions, as road conditions may be affected by snow and ice.
