Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk : Authorities in Karachi have closed Mai Kolachi Road and MT Khan Road to traffic ahead of Quds Day rallies, citing security concerns.
According to the Karachi Traffic Police, the roads have been shut in both directions. Boot Basin, Jinnah Bridge, and the access points to Mai Kolachi Road have been blocked for incoming and outgoing traffic. Additionally, routes from PIDC to Jinnah Bridge and MT Khan Road have also been restricted.
The closures are part of heightened security measures implemented across the city to ensure public safety during religious processions and prevent potential incidents. Commuters are advised to follow alternative routes and expect traffic disruptions in central Karachi areas.
Police officials emphasized that public safety and smooth traffic flow remain a top priority during the event.
