Former Aussie star Jason Gillespie to lead Hyderabad’s new PSL franchise in the 11th season
Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: The newly added Hyderabad franchise in PSL 11 has officially appointed former Australian cricketer Jason Gillespie as their head coach. Owned by Fawad Sarwar, who acquired the team for PKR 175 crore, the announcement was made via social media.
Gillespie, 50, previously served in Pakistan’s coaching setup and was briefly appointed head coach of the national Test team in April 2024 before resigning. The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League will feature eight teams, with Hyderabad and Sialkot joining as new franchises. The season is set to begin on March 26, 2026, promising an action-packed cricketing spectacle.
