Mumbai, India – Web Desk: Bollywood film Peddy has once again come under public scrutiny after alleged social media chat screenshots linked to actress Janhvi Kapoor surfaced online, reigniting debate over the film’s content and behind-the-scenes conduct.
According to Indian media reports, South Indian superstar Ram Charan played the lead role in Peddy. Following its release, some viewers raised concerns over Janhvi Kapoor’s character portrayal and specific scenes, triggering renewed discussion across social media platforms.
Amid the controversy, alleged screenshots of a chat attributed to Janhvi Kapoor have gone viral online. However, neither the actress nor the film’s production team has confirmed the authenticity of these messages.
The unverified chats claim that Janhvi Kapoor expressed discomfort over certain scenes during filming and reportedly requested the production team to avoid specific camera angles and framing choices while portraying her character. The messages have also led to speculation that the actress had set clear boundaries during the shoot.
It is further claimed that Ram Charan allegedly supported Kapoor during certain scenes and intervened on her behalf during production decisions, although these claims remain unverified.
Meanwhile, the film’s box office performance is also under discussion. Reports suggest that Peddy earned around ₹8.90 crore in its first four days, which industry observers describe as a disappointing start.
