(Web Desk) – Islamabad Bar Association announced strike tomorrow (Saturday) to express solidarity with lawyer Eman Mazari and advocate Hadi Ali Chattha as trial court denied them access to fair trial in controversial tweet case.
In a press statement, Islamabad Bar Association condemned the act of judge who started trail of the case against Eman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha without giving them a chance to explain their position.
The Bar said not giving the accused a chance to clear itself is a negation of claims of effective delivery of justice. The Bar said there was concern among the entire legal community about the state of justice.
Islamabad Bar Association stands by its members and will go on strike tomorrow against illegal and unconstitutional practices. Bar said lawyers to boycott court proceedings tomorrow.
