Iran warns US assets worldwide could be targeted if attacked again

Date:

Iranian military spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia warns that any renewed US attack could trigger retaliation against American assets beyond the Middle East, with Tehran ruling out geographical restrictions.

TEHRAN, IRAN — WEB DESK: Iran has warned that American assets around the world could become targets if the United States launches another military attack against the country, signalling that any potential retaliation would not be restricted to the Middle East.

Iranian military spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia issued the warning, saying Tehran would target US assets wherever they are located if Washington renews military action against Iran.

According to Al Jazeera, Akraminia said Iran’s response would have no geographical restrictions.

The statement was also reported by Pakistan’s Express News on Friday, November 6.

Iran Rules Out Geographical Limits on Retaliation

Akraminia’s remarks indicate that Iran is considering a broader geographical scope for any future military response.

He warned that American facilities, equipment, forces and interests could be targeted if the United States launches another attack.

However, the military spokesperson did not identify specific targets or provide details about the potential operations.

The warning follows previous statements by Iranian officials threatening retaliation beyond West Asia if hostilities resume.

Tehran Warns Against Renewed Military Action

The latest warning comes amid continuing tensions between Tehran and Washington and concerns about another round of military confrontation.

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has also warned that any renewed US-Israeli attack would trigger an immediate response without geographical restrictions.

Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed that the country is strengthening its military preparedness in anticipation of possible renewed hostilities.

Diplomatic Efforts Continue Amid Escalating Threats

Despite the military warnings, diplomatic contacts between Iran and the United States have continued through regional intermediaries, including Qatar.

Disagreements over sanctions, security arrangements and the Strait of Hormuz remain major obstacles to an agreement.

The latest statement from Iran adds to concerns that a breakdown in diplomatic efforts could lead to a wider confrontation with consequences beyond the Middle East.
