Iran-US tensions disrupt flights, 45 Pakistan flights canceled

Date:

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Air travel operations across Pakistan were significantly disrupted on Tuesday as 45 flights to and from Gulf countries were cancelled amid changing geopolitical conditions linked to Iran–US negotiations.

According to airport sources, the evolving situation surrounding Iran–United States talks has once again unsettled regional air traffic, impacting flight schedules and passenger movement.

Authorities confirmed that Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, and Peshawar airports were among the most affected. From Lahore alone, nine flights to and from destinations including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Fujairah were cancelled.

At Islamabad Airport, 12 flights were suspended, while Karachi saw 18 cancellations and Peshawar recorded six cancelled flights.

Sources further said that passenger demand on routes to the United Arab Emirates has dropped sharply in recent days. Several flights were reportedly cancelled due to insufficient passenger load as airlines adjusted operations amid uncertainty.

The situation highlights how ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region continue to impact international aviation and travel schedules across South Asia and the Gulf.
