Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Foreign Ministry has stated that the memorandum of understanding signed with the United States contains no ambiguity, adding that the future management of the Strait of Hormuz will be handled through consultations with Oman and other Gulf nations .
No Ambiguity in MoU
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said the text of the 14-point MoU is brief and clear, with no ambiguity in its provisions . He reiterated that Iran had made clear from the outset that the responsibility for managing the Strait of Hormuz’s future arrangements rests with Tehran .
Hormuz Management to Involve Regional Consultations
Baghaei added that the issue of the Strait of Hormuz would be pursued through consultations with Oman and dialogue with other regional countries .
