Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has released satellite images it says support claims that US F-35 fighter jets were struck in Jordan. The United States continues to reject the allegations.
TEHRAN, Iran — WEB DESK: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has released satellite images that it claims support its allegation that US F-35 fighter jets were targeted during Iranian retaliatory strikes on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
According to Iranian state media, the published satellite images show aircraft hangars at the Jordanian air base where, Tehran claims, US F-35 aircraft were stationed before the reported attack.
IRGC repeats earlier claims
In a statement accompanying the images, the IRGC said the purpose of releasing the satellite imagery was to “present the facts” to the international community.
The Iranian military also urged international media outlets to avoid what it described as censorship and to report the information accurately.
Iran has previously claimed that three US F-35 fighter jets were destroyed during missile strikes targeting the American military facility in Jordan.
US continues to reject allegations
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has repeatedly denied Iran’s claims.
US officials have said no American military aircraft were damaged, adding that Iranian missiles and drones launched during the reported attack were either intercepted or failed to reach their intended targets.
At the time of publication, US authorities had not issued a specific response to the newly released satellite images.
Independent verification unavailable
The authenticity and interpretation of the satellite images have not been independently verified by neutral third-party sources.
Defence analysts note that competing narratives have emerged from both Tehran and Washington amid heightened regional tensions, making independent verification of military claims particularly difficult.
