Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has declared that Iran will not allow the United States to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz, reaffirming Tehran’s position on one of the world’s most strategically important waterways.
Ghalibaf made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran with the Vice Chairman of China’s National People’s Congress, where both sides discussed strengthening bilateral political, economic, and strategic cooperation.
According to Iranian media, Ghalibaf praised the growing partnership between Iran and China, describing Beijing as a reliable partner that has supported Tehran during difficult times. He said stronger strategic relations between the two countries could play a constructive role in reducing regional and global tensions.
The Iranian parliament speaker also stated that issues related to the movement of Chinese vessels through the Strait of Hormuz had been resolved, while stressing that Iran would not permit any U.S. interference in the vital maritime route.
Referring to regional developments, Ghalibaf claimed that Israel could attempt to undermine any agreement reached with the United States. He further asserted that Iran’s defence capabilities would deter Israel from initiating another conflict, emphasizing that regional tensions should be addressed through coordinated strategies and responsible political dialogue.
During the meeting, the Chinese delegation reaffirmed the longstanding friendship between China and Iran and expressed commitment to further expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
