Iran Rejects U.S. Talks, Vows to Continue Regional Conflict

Date:

(Web Desk) – Tehran, Iran – Senior adviser to late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stated that Iran has no intention of negotiating with the United States and is prepared to “continue the war” as long as necessary. Mohammad Mokhber, a top aide to the late leader, told state television that Tehran lacks trust in Washington and sees no basis for diplomatic engagement.

“We have no trust in the Americans and no grounds for negotiations,” Mokhber said, adding that Iran could sustain regional hostilities indefinitely. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi further criticized U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing him of betraying diplomacy and voters. In a post on X, Araghchi argued that complex nuclear negotiations cannot succeed when treated like commercial transactions and distorted by misinformation.

Meanwhile, the Israel military claimed continued operations against Iranian missile capabilities, stating it had destroyed numerous launch sites while acknowledging Tehran still retains significant firepower. Israeli officials said defensive measures remain crucial as regional tensions escalate.

The Gulf region also remains volatile. Qatar condemned Iranian strikes on its territory as “unacceptable and unjustifiable.” Qatar’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that attacks affecting the entire country cannot be defended, regardless of targets.

In a separate incident, Saudi Arabia reported intercepting a drone aimed at the Ras Tanura refinery, its largest oil facility. Officials said no damage occurred. Additionally, Kuwait confirmed detecting incoming missiles and drones, activating interception measures as sirens sounded in Kuwait City.

Regional analysts warn that escalating exchanges between Iran and Gulf states risk broader instability. Diplomatic efforts remain uncertain as competing narratives deepen mistrust.
