Iran Rejects Trump’s Claims, Questions US Intent on Talks

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran has rejected recent claims by US President Donald Trump regarding ongoing negotiations, accusing Washington of using the idea of talks to influence global oil prices and create space for military planning.

In a statement, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said Trump’s remarks were aimed at lowering international energy prices while simultaneously allowing time for the implementation of US military strategies.

The ministry added that several regional countries are working on de-escalation efforts and have put forward different proposals. However, Tehran stressed that any diplomatic initiatives should primarily be directed toward Washington, as Iran maintains it is not the party that initiated the conflict.

Foreign Ministry spokespersons also said that friendly countries have recently conveyed messages suggesting that the United States is seeking negotiations to end the war, though Iran has not yet issued any formal response.

The statement reflects Iran’s cautious diplomatic stance, as it continues to consolidate its position amid ongoing regional tensions and conflicting signals from international actors.
