Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni arrived in Islamabad on Monday night for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and discussing regional developments amid continuing tensions in the Middle East.
Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The senior Iranian official was received at Islamabad International Airport by Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, according to state-run Pakistan Television (PTV).
During his visit, Momeni is scheduled to hold meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Discussions are expected to cover Pakistan-Iran relations, border security cooperation, regional stability, and ongoing diplomatic efforts related to tensions involving Iran and the United States.
The visit comes as Pakistan continues diplomatic engagement with regional and international stakeholders in support of dialogue and de-escalation efforts in the Middle East. Officials from both countries are also expected to discuss trade, security cooperation, cross-border management, and broader regional developments.
