TEHRAN, Iran – Web Desk: Iran has confirmed the death of Revolutionary Guards Navy Commander Ali Reza Tangsiri, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a recent Israeli airstrike, marking a significant escalation in Middle East tensions.
According to the official Sepah News platform, Tangsiri was critically wounded during an Israeli strike and later died from his injuries. Israel had previously claimed responsibility for targeting the Iranian naval commander in an earlier attack.
Analysts say the death of a high-ranking military officer is a major setback for Iran, and any potential retaliation could further escalate the ongoing conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
The announcement comes amid ongoing claims from both Iran and Israel of targeting key military personnel, heightening fears of a broader regional war in the Middle East.
