Bollywood Stars Show Solidarity
Actor Imran Khan participated in a protest march in Mumbai, stating he was there to show support for students “whose hard work was invalidated and discarded” . He condemned the recent police action against protesters, saying, “This violence has absolutely no place in civil public discourse” .
In Delhi, actor Huma Qureshi, accompanied by her brother Saqib Saleem, visited the Jantar Mantar protest site late at night to express solidarity with the students . Videos of the siblings at the site quickly went viral on social media .
Singer Mika Singh Condemns Police Crackdown
Singer Mika Singh also voiced support for the students, calling the recent police action “unacceptable” . He said he was “shocked” by the violence against students, particularly young women, adding: “Society reserves such harsh treatment for criminals like rapists and gangsters. So, it’s difficult to understand why students were being handled similarly” .

Several other Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rajkummar Rao, and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, have also expressed support for the student movement either through social media posts or by appearing at protest sites .
