A recent report has warned that due to the growing role of artificial intelligence and automation, nearly 3 million people could lose their jobs within the next decade.
The report, presented by the National Foundation for Education Research (NFER), cautioned that major changes are needed to ensure people have the skills required to sustain their employment.
According to the team, the sectors most at risk of unemployment include administrative, secretarial, customer service, and machine operators.
NFER further warned that the threat is not limited to employees currently working in these sectors, but also extends to young people who leave education without acquiring any skills.
