Gaza/Tehran — Web Desk: Amid escalating conflict in the Middle East involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, Hamas has issued a heartfelt appeal urging Tehran to exercise restraint and avoid striking neighboring Muslim nations.
Hamas emphasized that Iran has the right to defend itself under international law but cautioned against actions that could escalate regional tensions further. The organization called for joint efforts among Middle Eastern countries to prevent the situation from spiraling into a larger conflict.
The statement highlighted the need for unity, cooperation, and stability across the region, urging countries to maintain brotherly relations to ensure lasting peace.
The appeal comes after Israel’s military strike on February 28 targeting Iranian leadership, which reportedly killed several high-ranking officials, including the Army Chief, Defense Minister, IRGC Commander, and a national security advisor.
In retaliation, Iran has reportedly targeted U.S. military bases in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and other Gulf nations and closed the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, disrupting global oil shipments and heightening tensions across the region.
