Karachi’s Gul Plaza fire disaster intensifies as rescue teams recover 30 additional bodies from a single confectionery shop, raising the death toll to 61. Authorities confirm 86 people remain missing. Rescue operations are ongoing amid hazardous conditions, with DNA testing underway to identify victims. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has ordered immediate hospital transfers of recovered bodies and full support for bereaved families. Deputy Commissioner South Karachi Javed Nabi Khokhar emphasized safety measures while inspecting the unstable structure. Rescue teams including Edhi, Chhipa, and 1122 are working round-the-clock to locate missing persons.
