Hyderabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The All Truck Dumper Association has issued a stern warning to authorities, stating that goods transport operations may be suspended if petrol and diesel prices are not reduced.
Speaking at a press conference in Hyderabad, the association’s president highlighted that rising fuel costs are severely impacting transporters’ operations and profitability.
He criticized claims by the Sindh government regarding subsidies, calling them “ineffective” and reiterated that transporters may halt services unless fuel prices are lowered immediately.
Earlier, the Petrol Pump Dealers Association had also threatened to close petrol stations due to low profit margins. The association’s chairman stated that the government-maintained margins for petrol dealers are insufficient, and failure to increase them could force dealers to temporarily shut down fuel pumps.
Analysts say that continued high fuel prices could disrupt the supply chain, affecting goods movement across the province and potentially impacting daily business activities.
