Per tola gold surges by Rs14,800 as global rates hit new highs
Karachi, Pakistan | Web Desk: Gold prices in Pakistan have once again witnessed a sharp surge, recording a massive increase of Rs14,800 per tola in a single day, reflecting strong upward momentum in both local and global markets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of one tola gold rose to Rs529,162 after the latest increase. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of gold jumped by Rs12,689, reaching Rs453,671 nationwide.
Market analysts attribute the sharp rise to escalating prices in the international bullion market. Globally, gold prices climbed by $148, reaching $5,064 per ounce, driven by economic uncertainty, inflation concerns, and increased investor demand for safe-haven assets.
The continuous surge has raised concerns among consumers and traders, while investors closely monitor further fluctuations in global and domestic gold markets.
