Karachi-Web Desk : Gold prices in both the international and local markets recorded a decline on Saturday, while silver prices posted a modest increase, according to bullion market updates.
In the international bullion market, gold fell by $7 per ounce, bringing the global rate to approximately $4,746 per ounce, reflecting a slight correction after previous gains.
Following global trends, local gold prices in Pakistan also dropped. The price of 24-karat gold per tola declined by Rs700, settling at Rs496,962, while the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs600 to Rs426,064.
In contrast, silver prices moved upward in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs50, reaching Rs8,064, while 10 grams of silver rose by Rs43 to Rs6,913.
Market analysts say gold prices remain sensitive to global economic signals, currency fluctuations, and investor demand, while silver continues to show short-term volatility.
It is worth noting that gold prices had increased in the previous trading session before this latest decline.
