Gold Prices Drop by Rs 2,800 Per Tola in Pakistan

Date:

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Thursday, reflecting a broader drop in international precious metals markets, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs 2,800, settling at Rs 537,162 compared with the previous day’s rate of Rs 539,962.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs 2,401 to Rs 460,529, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs 2,201 to Rs 422,166.

Silver prices also declined, with per tola silver losing Rs 194 to trade at Rs 8,810. The price of 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs 166 to Rs 7,553.

On the international market, gold prices slipped by $28 to $5,144 per ounce, while silver declined by $1.94 to $83.26 per ounce, data from the association showed.

Analysts attribute the decline to shifting investor sentiment and fluctuations in global commodity markets, which influence domestic pricing in Pakistan’s bullion sector.

Gold remains a key investment asset in Pakistan, where demand typically rises during periods of economic uncertainty and currency volatility.

Market participants say price movements in international metals markets will continue to shape domestic gold and silver rates in the coming weeks.
